Conducted by Peter M. F. Sichel, the seminar will include tasting of 1983 Spätlese wines. One wine from each of the eleven German wine growing regions, in a typical grape variety of the region, will be tasted. Wines for the seminar are courtesy of the Stabilization Fund for Wine, Mainz.

2:00 - 4:30 p.m. Annual Business Meeting and Seminar Tasting

We strongly urge all members to attend the annual business meeting. You will be rewarded with a tasting of 1983 Auslese, Beerenauslese ' Eiswein, and Trockenbeerenauslese wines immediately following the business meeting. Wines for this tasting were contributed by Peter M. F. Sichel and Dr. James White.


7:00 p.m. - Annual Banquet

Chef David Asher-Tournant and Bill Poeschl have planned an exciting menu to complement the five wines selected for the dinner. We will begin the evening with a Fürst von Metternich Sekt and finish with Germany's famous Asbach Uralt. Wines for the banquet are furnished by the Stabilization Fund for Wine, Elliott Fine & Co.. and Asbach International.


Sunday, March 31, 1985

8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. - Tour of Napa Valley

The motor coach will pick up tour participants in front of the Mark Hopkins Hotel at 8:30 a.m. Please be prompt. Tour will include visits and tastings at Trefethen Winery, Joseph Phelps Winery, lunch at Auberge du Soleil, and a tour of Hanns Kornell Champagne Cellars.
