3:00 – 5:00 p.m. -How to Teach Tasting Techniques Conducted by: Helmut Jung, Wilshire Room
Acquire skills in organizing comparative wine tastings and learn from an expert how to convey information about wine.

If you’re competing for one of the three prizes being awarded at this night’s banquet, you must complete both this written exam and the sensory exam immediately following.

10:00 – Noon – “12er Probe” Competition Tasting
Conducted by: Helmut Jung, Wilshire Room
Even if you’re not vying for one of the prizes, test your knowledge in this tasting which is a practice run for the big international wine tasting competition taking place in 1990. Prove your German wine tasting abilities by identifying regional differences, grape varieties, quality levels and degrees of sweetness in this “blind tasting of 12 distinctly different wines.
Noon – 2:00 p.m. – Chapter Administration Workshop & Luncheon, Wedgewood Room
Luncheon and free-flowing discussion covering building membership, various types of tastings and how to get members more involved in planning and administrative detail.
3:00 – 4:00 p.m. – Annual Business Meeting, Wilshire Room
