10:00 AM – Tasting of classical German wines will feature wines from seven estate owners from different regions in Germany, plus the wines of the world-renowned Valckenberg winery in Worms. Description of the winery, history, information on the wines, and comparative tasting, by Jack Williamson, Valckenberg representative in the US.

2:00 PM – A unique tasting event will feature German wines of the next generation of an outstanding young vintner from a long-established wine-growing family, coming especially directly from Germany to show and present his wines. Florian Weingart, from Boppard in the Middle Rhine region, will compare and contrast wines from his fathers’ generation with his own next-generation production. He has been in charge of the family estate for three years and has already developed new directions in cold fermentation and introducing complexity into the wines through leaving them longer on the lees.
