Happy Easter/Passover! It feels so good to put this terrible winter behind us, and spring into Spring! Our program for April is once again, something completely different. Many of you have asked about Grosses Gewachs, the “great growth” designation on certain wines made by members of the German wine growers association known as the “VDP.” These wines are produced in small quantities according to very stringent requirements and often command a much higher price than the wines produced under the 1971 German Wine Law that includes the pradikat classification system. This month, we will do our best to clear up the confusion surrounding GG’s, which will be illustrated by pouring 6 of them, all from the Mosel region, with food designed to complement the wines. Wanda is the first door on the left as you enter the building from the parking lot.
PRICE: Couple Memberships and Single Members with +1, $70.00 per person, all inclusive of food, wine, tax and tip. Non-members and additional guests of members, $85.00 per person. We accept only cash or checks as payment. Payment may be made at the door, but you must reserve in advance, no walk-ins. You must be current with dues to receive the member price. Dues are $35.00 per year for either a couple or individual membership. If you are paying by check, please have the check written out before you arrive at the venue. If you are unsure what the amount should be, reach out to me and I will advise you in advance.
RSVP: By reply to this email or call 856-228-7330 and leave a message no later than noon on Friday, April 17th. Space is limited so we cannot guarantee there will be availability until April 17th, but you are welcome to inquire at any time via email or phone. We advise you to reserve early to avoid disappointment. PLEASE ADVISE OF ANY FOOD ALLERGIES WHEN MAKING YOUR RESERVATION SO THAT THE CHEF CAN BE PREPARED TO ACCOMMODATE YOU.

All Society members and guests are reminded that alcohol consumption can lead to intoxication, and therefore Society members and their guests are expected to drink in moderation at Society events. We suggest those attending either utilize a designated driver or other means of transit or mostly taste rather than consume alcohol when such drivers or alternate means of transportation are not available.
