The Board of the San Francisco Chapter of the German Wine Society has set the Chapter’s next Special Event to be a luncheon in an indoor private dining roomat the Speisekammer restaurant in Alameda on Sunday, April 28, 2024. The restaurant address is 2424 Lincoln Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501 (Allow at least 45 minutes from San Francisco). Parking is available in the area. Please feel free to invite friends to come as guests.
The event will start with a reception and “finger food” from 12:30 to 1:00 pm,followed by a four-course luncheon of appetizers, salad, main course entree, and dessert (see detail below). We will be serving wines from the highly regarded 2019 vintage with a Riesling Feinherb (off-dry) We will be serving wines from the highly regarded 2019 vintage with a Riesling Feinherb (off-dry) wine during the reception, two Riesling Kabinett wines with the appetizers and salad, and two Riesling Spätlese wines with the entree course. With the dessert course we will have a Beerenauslese wine from the excellent 2005 vintage. The per person cost for the event is a bargain price of $99.00.
Please RSVP “yes” or “no” by the initial deadline of April 20, 2024, and, if your response is yes, please select which entree course you want.
To attend this event, we require that each attendee be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 at the time of the event, per CDC guidelines in effect 4-7-24. Also, we request that you take a home COVID Test not more than 24 hours before the event (preferably the day of the event).

Please note that an additional late fee of $10 per person will be charged for any RSVPs after the initial deadline of Saturday, April 20, 2024, but all RSVPs must be received by Tuesday, April 23, 2024, with initial RSVP payments received by Wednesday, April 24, 2024, and late RSVP payments received by Friday, April 26, 2024.

All Society members and guests are reminded that alcohol consumption can lead to intoxication and therefore Society members and their guests are expected to drink in moderation at Society events. We suggest those attending either utilize designated drivers or other modes of transit where available, or mostly taste rather than consume alcohol when such drivers or alternative means of transportation are not available.
